PostHeaderIcon U18 Boys Place 2nd at Indoor Provincials

New Maryland U18 boys placed second at the 2012 Indoor provincials. The team after being down 3-0 with 7 minutes to play in the quarter finals made a miraculous comeback to tie the game with less than 10 seconds left to send the game into a shoot out. We then went on to win the shout out on goals by Nathan Wood, Ben Andrews and Travis Wallace. Our keeper Eric Douglas made a spectacular save in the shoot out to ensure the win. In the semi finals it was a rematch with Fundy High from the previous night where the teams tie 1-1. In the semi's New Maryland was victorious with a 1-0 win and Eric Douglass with a shut out performance and Ben Andrews scoring the lone goal. This set up a New Maryland - Fredericton final. The game was scoreless at the 25 minute mark when Fredericton scored with 15 minutes left and went onto win the game. What a great effort by our team from New Maryland!!
