The New Maryland U16/U18 Villagers were the U18 Division 1 Boys winners at the 2016 Codiac First Touch Tournament held on the weekend of July 15-17 in Moncton. In round robin play, the Villagers tied Halifax 2-2, then went on to defeat the Riverview U18 boys by a score of 5-0, and the Fundy U18 boys by a score of 5-0. This moved the Villagers to first in their group and on to the semi-final, where they defeated Shediac U18 boys 5-1. In the final, it was a rematch with Halifax, where the score was 0-0 until the Villagers earned the win with a goal very late in the second half.
